The place

Provisions for the top of the harbor.

Java Rock sits at the corner where Sharp meets Main, which is the corner everything in Rock Hall passes through. Watermen coming off the water, crews walking up from the marinas, the morning walking group, the boatyard — all of it lands on the deck between seven and ten.

Inside there's air conditioning, a book nook and room to spread out a chart. Outside there's shade three seasons of the year, and your dog is welcome on it.
